Helping my business make a sale….

In the direct selling world sales can take place anywhere anytime.  In the perfect world costumer go to your website, order the products, pay for them right there, they are shipped and your never have to see the product – just the check! But it really wouldn’t be the direct selling world if that was the case.  Many sales take place with the back of my car being the store, and you need a small store.  The chances of you being able to tell someone about the product, build up their interest, ask for sale, and then tell them to go to your website when they get home to order is basically zero.  You HAVE to have product with you! I’m not talking about a huge stock, the great thing about direct selling these days is that you do not need a huge garage full of stock.  You have to have at least one of the product you are selling with you, sometimes it better to only have one and not a trunk full. “it’s my last one and I was supposed to give it to mu sisiter-in-law-” “she can wait and you can have it” is one of my favorite lines.  Your chances of making a sale has now gone up 100%.  The next stumbling block you may come across as people do not have the cash on them.  You need to check out    Credit Card Processing Services they have many easy way to help you make the sale including POS Systems that  have bluetooth and wireless capability.  With these helping tools with you the your costumer has no excuse and you have made your sale!

Why am I not making enough sales?

“Many times Salespeople think that they have a presentation problem or don’t close well enough if they aren’t making enough sales. In most cases the truth is that they don’t have enough names and numbers on a List (leads) and so they just don’t have enough appointments. If you increase the number of leads on your List, appointments will increase, you’ll give more presentations and you will automatically close more sales. Most Salespeople don’t have a closing problem they have a List problem!”

How do I build my business?

“Get in front of people, get in front of people, get in front of people! That’s how you increase your sales, volume, customer base and your commissions. Stop messing with your own head trying to figure things out. Just pick up the phone and punch the buttons! Let it fly. You won’t die. No Network-Marketer, Business Owner or Professional Salesperson has ever been killed as a result of hearing ‘No.’

“Every time you interact with a prospect you need to know where you want to end up! This is called having a “Strategy” and most Professional Salespeople don’t have one. Stephen Covey’s tenet “Begin with the end in mind” is critically applicable here. As a Pro you must always know where you are leading the prospect. Yes, I know toward the sale, but where do you need to end up in that particular interaction? You must know ahead of time what action or answer you want to get from the prospect in order to get them to the next step in your process.”

What to do

Thanks for the article from Laura Ryan

One of my colleagues told me about texaselectricityPROVIDERS.COM and it’s been great for our bottom line. We went through a real rough patch this time last year with the economy but I’ve been working on ways with the head accountant to try and save us money here and there so we’ve been slicing away where we can. I had to let go couple of fulltime people go and that’s been really tough for me because they were good employees but at the end of the day we needed the money they were using to pay their salaries to go towards other parts of the business so it was a really good decision. Being a small business owner isn’t the easiest thing in the world but there are a lot of good parts that really outweigh the hard stuff so in the end it’s totally worth it. I’ve always dreamed of this life and I’m happy for all the challenges and the good times – they’re what make the end of the day worth it for me and for all my employees!

We compiled our list using sources such as Hoover’s Company Records and Dun & Bradstreet, SGA Executive Tracker Companies, Standard & Poor’s Descriptions Plus News, Company Briefs–Gale Group, Global Duns Market Identifiers, Market Guide Company Profiles, America’s Corporate Finance Directory and Directory of Corporate Affiliations, the companies’ own Web sites, the Direct Selling Association, the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations and other sources.

Advertising

Recently I attended a trade show where there was many vendors.  The function had vendors of the same type in the same room.  The gentlemen in the stand next to me had traffic all day and some walked past mine and straight to his one.  After looking at his stand I concluded that his display was better than mine and more attractive.  His best feature was these tall colorful posters.  When everyone was closing up there displays I noticed hos easily these Trade Show Display Vinyl Banners that I was sure had attracted the traffic packed away.  I had to ask where he had gotten them: www.postupstand.com he told me.  On my way out of the convention I noticed the same guy taking down another Trade Show Display Vinyl Banner that he had placed in the main hall directing  consumers to his stand.  After arriving back home I decided to visit www.PostUpStands.com and see how much these things cost.  I was happy to find out that they actually where not as much as I thought, of course different sizes cost different prizes and colors you use.  I purchased  two – One for at my stand and one with direction and a competition to place somewhere else and direct consumers to my stand.  I also got sucked in and found that they offered many other similar products.  Next I am going to invest in a Scrolling Banner.

I have noticed a big increase in the number of consumer I am able to put my product in front of due to the new Post up Stands and my Trade Show Displays Vinyl Banners

Shopping

recently I have found myself in more situations where out of my wife and I have been the one shopping for various items from birthday presents, graduations present and things for out house.  I’m not sure how this came about, but think I may have made a mistake by becoming good at it and now get asked more and more.

I am not a walk around shopper, but a great on line one it seems.  I owe it all to www.Become.com this has become my one stop shop for EVERYTHING.

I have even recently noticed that I can get my car parts and tires here automotive.become.com

Everything for you home and garden is here and you can always find great ideas for birthday etc.  It really has made me look pretty good at shopping !!

Recently I noticed a great section for some of my business needs and bought a new cash register for my store, it was a a lot cheaper than the other one I already have.

Check it out at : cash register: http://www.become.com/cheap-cash-register

Pools

It’s time to start getting my pool ready for the summer. The kids are already asking me when it will be ready for swim. So I started my yearly search on the web for my Pool Supplies.

This year I was thinking of adding some Gorilla Floor Padding under my liner. It will feel so much better on our feet when jumping for those volleyballs.

As I stare out my window at the Winter Pool Cover, I can see that I will need to purchase one of these again. It is just one of those things that are necessary to buy every 3 years in order for the pool to look its best when I reopen it.

TwitterFeed

This is a great tool/app that will save you a lot of time.  If you have been in the network marketing for any length of time you will know that having on line presence is vital.  It does not have to be a hugh online presence with fancy websites etc, but something gives you the support and back up for you business.  The 2 easy ones are facebook and a blog.  Nearly everyone has a personal facebook page, from their create a “fan” page for you business/product.  A blog can be set up in less than 10 minutes through www.wordpress.com (just like this one) through in a twitter account and you are up and running in the social networking industry.  Keeping them all up to date and with information is the toughest part.  As you all know Google does not like sites that just sit there.

Twitterfeed makes all the easy – Once you write your entry in your blog it takes it and “post” it to your facebook and twitter accounts.  You can also have it working for other social media sites, these are just the ones I use.

Affiliate Marketing (major part of Network Marketing)

Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. Examples include rewards sites, where users are rewarded with cash or gifts, for the completion of an offer, and the referral of others to the site. The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as ‘retailer’ or ‘brand’), the network, the publisher (also known as ‘the affiliate’), and the customer. The market has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and specialized third parties vendors.

Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered by a partner.

Affiliate marketing—using one website to drive traffic to another—is a form of online marketing, which is frequently overlooked by advertisers. While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing carries a much lower profile. Still, affiliates continue to play a significant role in e-retailers marketing strategies

“‘How could so many financially, well educated people have also been fooled?’ The answer is we are not done being fooled. In the coming years, a pension fund crisis, including Social Security, will dwarf the multi-trillion-dollar sub prime mortgage crisis. Why? Because this is a crisis caused by a lack of financial education by both the borrowers and the lenders.” -Robert Kiyosaki

How long do I try for?

This is a tough question.  How long would you stay in a job you did not like?

The only way to really answer this question is by looking at what you are putting in and what you getting out.  Just like exercise; you exercise everyday and you will see some great results, you’re putting a lot of work in and getting a lot out.  You exercise once a week and wonder why you not losing weight or getting fitter.  Because you are not putting enough into.  This works with everything.

So, firstly, how many hours a week are spending on your business?  This itself becomes another big issue.  If my exercise is 10 push ups and then watching the fit channel, it’s not going to work.  If it is a hard hour workout working all body parts you going to see the difference.  So if you doing 20 minutes for your business and then updating you facebook page and surfing the web – Your business is not going to grow.  If you are working through a set, at least an hours worth, of activities for your business including Blogging, Marketing, Advertising, writing articles you are going to see success.

Adding a home based business is like adding a part time job to your life.  It needs the 20 hours a week, if not you are going to get fired from the job!  The worse thing about home based businesses and the best thing is you will never get FIRED.  You also will never get in trouble for not doing the work !!

Motivation…….  You got to have it !

Motivation is the driving force which causes us to achieve goals. Motivation is said to be intrinsic or extrinsic. The term is generally used for humans but, theoretically, it can also be used to describe the causes for animal behavior as well. This article refers to human motivation. According to various theories, motivation may be rooted in a basic need to minimize physical pain and maximize pleasure, or it may include specific needs such as eating and resting, or a desired object, goal, state of being, ideal, or it may be attributed to less-apparent reasons such as altruism, selfishness, morality, or avoiding mortality. Conceptually, motivation should not be confused with either volition or optimism.[1] Motivation is related to, but distinct from, emotion.
